Acherontia styx

The smallest of the 3 species. They often have no black pigmentation on the dorsal side of the abdomen .

They are similar to atropos, but have two medial bands on the underside of the forewing rather than one. The skull like marking is darker ,and the discal spot on the forewing is orange , whilst atropos is usually white .
