Phoebis species
These are the largest Pierids in the Neotropics. They undergo vast migrations and congregate around urine puddles or rotting fish on river banks . This behaviour is more marked in males, females tend to fly to flowers.

The females are polymorphic ,some have a red band to the distal edge of the hindwing underside, whilst others are totally white with narrow black margins and a black cell spot on the f.w.r. The verso surface has a leaf like pattern
