Consul fabius

The genus has five species all forest dwellers and fly in understory and canopy. They feed on rotting fruit . The males sun themselves with the wings held apart at 45 degrees (showing the tiger stripes) and chase other tiger striped butterflies. The flight is slow and deliberate.
